Lafayette, LA – Injuries Reported in Car Crash on W Congress St near Ambassador Caffery Parkway
Lafayette, LA (July 19, 2021) – Emergency crews were called to the scene of an auto accident that sent at least one person to a local hospital with injuries. At around 1:35 p.m., on July 19, the Lafayette Parish Communication District was called to the scene of a crash on West Congress Street.
Reports from local authorities indicate that a collision between vehicles blocked West Congress Street at the intersection of Ambassador Caffery Parkway. The incident prompted the response of several emergency crews who went to work on securing the area and rendering aid to victims.
Although details surrounding the extent of injuries are limited, at least one person was transported from the scene of the accident to a local hospital for further medical care. At this time, the incident remains under investigation.
