After most accidents, crash victims will encounter serious injuries. Common accident-related injuries include broken and fractured bones, damage to internal organs, traumatic brain injuries, and damage to the spinal cord. These and many other severe injuries could require victims to undergo long and costly hospital stays, medical treatments, and even full-time care.

Anytime a victim is hurt in a motor vehicle crash because of the negligence of another, it is important that they solicit solid legal advice from an experienced car crash attorney in Louisiana right away. Victims typically learn they have a wide variety of legal alternatives available to them as they look for financial recovery.

It is extremely unsettling to learn that the highest percentage of car accidents take place within a few miles of home. Drivers who are just stepping out to go to the corner store, the supermarket, take a walk through a local park, or spend some time with a friend or relative for the afternoon are not in any less danger than someone planning to drive across the state or across the country.

The caring Louisiana car accident attorneys at Smiley Law Firm have decades of experience in helping their clients hold negligent drivers responsible. Our attorneys are prepared to guide you through the legal process and aim to provide effective and up-to-date legal guidance.

It is imperative that you do not become complacent or let your guard down simply because you are driving on a roadway you have driven on countless times before, running a familiar errand to the post office or the gas station. Decreased awareness increases the likelihood of a car accident taking place, even when your destination is just around the corner.
