Shreveport, LA – Officer-Involved Injury Accident on Mansfield Rd

Shreveport, LA (July 13, 2021) – A roadway in Shreveport was temporarily shut down following a car accident involving a police officer on Tuesday, July 13th.  

Police were notified of the incident at the intersection of Southside Drive and Mansfield Road, in the area of State Highway 3132 via a 911 call at about 5:15 a.m.  

According to officers on the scene, the officer was driving southbound on Mansfield Road responding to reports of a stabbing when it was involved in a collision with another vehicle. 

Both the officer and the other driver were transported to a hospital in Shreveport hospital with injuries believed to be non-life-threatening.  

No additional details have been released.
