St. Martin Parish, LA – Police Investigating Injury Vehicle Accident on I-10 at Henderson
St. Martin Parish, LA (July 14, 2021) – Police and paramedics both responded to reports of a serious car accident that occurred on Tuesday morning, July 13, near Henderson.
Sources indicate that the accident took place in the westbound lanes of Interstate 10 when a tractor-trailer collided with another vehicle and overturned, blocking the entire highway for several hours in the early morning. The big-rig driver lost control as a result of the initial collision, crossing the highway’s concrete barrier and striking more vehicles on the other side before rolling over.
The highway was closed off while crash investigators determined the cause of the crash, and fire rescue units with EMS worked to medically assess and aid those involved and administer the appropriate medical care.
