Vidalia, LA – Victim Med Flighted After Collision With Sanitation Truck on Carter St
Vidalia, LA (June 18, 2021) – On Thursday, July 17th, a man from Natchez sustained injuries in a two-car crash in Concordia Parish.
Reports show that the accident occurred on Carter Street in the area of Vidalia High School in Vadalia at about 8:00 a.m. when a half-ton pick-up truck driven by the victim crashed into the back of a Waste Pro sanitation truck.
After diverting traffic, emergency crews worked to extricate the victim from his truck. He was then taken by ambulance to an Air-Evac helicopter in the parking lot of the nearby high school. From there he was airlifted to Rapides Regional Hospital in Alexandria.
A passenger in the garbage truck was transported via ambulance to Trinity Medical with injuries believed to be non-critical.
This accident is under police investigation.
